Texture King is a comprehensible resource for high-resolution, stock texture images. Grunge, dirt, plaster and concrete are just some of the free textures on offer. The navigation of the website is pretty intuitive and easy to use so finding the texture for your graphic design is quite easy.
High Resolution Textures
This well-organised site not only includes a wide range of texture categories, but also features tutorials on how to best use them. The inspiration section is another massive advantage, offering a fantastic resource for tips on topics such as teh best locations for taking texture photographs and how to apply HDR techniques to them.
Grunge Textures
If you are looking for weathered or worn textures to use in your artwork,Grunge Textures will be right up your street. With so many high-resolution textures in more than 20 categories, Photoshop users are really spoilt for choice. From graffiti and rust through to mud and metal, there is a texture to suit every project that needs a touch of grunge.
Toybirds
In addition to its range of textures, Toybirds also boasts some attractive brushes and patterns. Clicking on the View Tags link makes it easier to find exactly what you are looking for. We found the site was particularly appropriate for projects that require floral or grainy textures.

If you are after subtle and delicate textures you should check out this website. It contains Experimental, Motion Blur & Watercolour textures as well as categories such as rust and scratched. Check it out.

Shizoo contains beautiful textures, brushes, icons and patterns. If you are looking for abstract and colourful textures to integrate into your project then this site is perfect for you. Shizoo has a simple layout which makes browsing through the textures on offer as easy as pie.
Image After
Whether it’s fur texture or photographic images of plastic you want, all of the resources on Image After can be downloaded for free and used in commercial and personal projects. Most of the textures are photographic and unprocessed, and handily they can be displayed at a decent size to see if they are what you are looking for before downloading.
DeviantArt
DeviantArt is a great place to showcase your works but also to find some free textures. Simply enter “textures” into the search box to be presented with thousands of beautiful elements to integrate into your designs. In addition to meduim and high-resolution photographic textures, many of the resources have been created by scratch by various different artists who are registered on DeviantArt. What a great community hey!
Six Revisions
Six Revisions offers tutorials, articles & textures that have been designed for us, the digital designers. If you want textures only then just enter textures into the search bar at the top of the website and you will find many great resources to use!
Fotopedia
Fotopedia is technically not a place to find textures. Instead you can search for free photographs using an advanced search. Sometimes the photographs can contain textures that you will want to use so stop by and take a look.
